Hi,

I'm Joshua Tivade, the Founder of Albatross Counselling and Wellbeing.

Albatross Wellbeing is a space for individual counselling and wellness work, created for people who want to slow down, think clearly, and work through what is weighing on them without pressure or performance.

 

If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, emotionally fatigued, or simply aware that something needs attention, you are not expected to arrive with clarity. You do not need to know where to begin. That work can unfold through conversation.
 

The aim of this space is simple and intentional: to help people feel safe enough to think and supported enough to grow.

My Approach

I am a Counselling Psychologist offering online counselling and wellness sessions for adults in India. My work is grounded in psychological training, clinical experience, and careful attention to how change actually happens in real life.
 

Counselling begins with emotional safety. Feeling steady enough to speak, reflect, and explore at your own pace matters before any meaningful work can take place. I tend to be more guided and structured than purely exploratory, especially when things feel confusing, overwhelming, or difficult to put into words.
 

I do not rush the process. If foundational emotional or practical skills are missing, we work on those first. When reflection is needed, we slow down. When clarity is possible, we move forward deliberately. Each step is chosen with intention, so that progress feels sustainable rather than forced.
 

At times, I may suggest structured reflections, journaling prompts, or skill-based exercises between sessions. These are not assignments and do not need to be completed for my sake. They are tools meant to support your thinking, build independence, and help progress continue beyond the session, in a way that feels respectful of your autonomy.
 

Occasional humour may naturally emerge in sessions, but the work itself remains thoughtful, grounded, and professional.

Counselling and Wellness Sessions

I offer both individual counselling and individual wellness sessions, each serving a distinct purpose.
 

Wellness sessions are suited for those who are largely functioning but want a space to reflect, recalibrate, and maintain emotional balance. These sessions often focus on intentional living, emotional regulation, decision-making and navigating everyday pressures with greater clarity.
 

Counselling sessions are more intensive and are meant for those looking to heal, process emotional difficulties, or work through deeper patterns that are impacting their life or relationships. Counselling is a collaborative process and often unfolds over time rather than offering a quick fix in a single session.
 

If you are unsure which option is right for you, that clarity often emerges through conversation. You are not expected to make a perfect choice at the outset.

Areas of Work

My work spans a range of concerns commonly faced by adults, including emotional regulation, anxiety, identity questions, relationship difficulties, workplace stress, leadership challenges, and periods of transition.
 

I do not work with children, or with individuals who require psychiatric medication management or inpatient care, as an online setting is not always appropriate for those needs.
 

In addition to individual work, I also engage in psychologically informed leadership consultancy and organisational wellbeing work. This includes one-on-one leadership consultations, group leadership workshops, and psychoeducative wellness sessions for organisations. While these services draw from psychological principles, they are not therapy and are clearly bounded in structure and intent.

I identify primarily as a Counselling Psychologist, with experience in applied psychological work and mental health support across individual and organisational settings. Depending on the context, the role may shift but the foundation remains the same: ethical practice, psychological insight, and respect for the person in front of me.
