Your safety, trust and clarity matter at Albatross Counselling and Wellbeing

These Terms & Conditions explain the use of online counselling, wellness sessions and professional or organisational consulting services offered by Albatross Counselling and Wellbeing to increase clarity, safety and mutual respect for both client and practitioner.

By booking or attending a session, you agree to the terms outlined here, which ensure transparency, safety and professional boundaries.

Our Online Counselling and Wellness Services

Albatross Counselling and Wellbeing provides online counselling sessions, individual wellness sessions, couples counselling and corporate or organisational consulting for adults (18+).
 

Services are structured, collaborative and development-oriented. They are not a substitute for emergency services, inpatient care or psychiatric treatment requiring medication management.

Counselling and wellness work is offered within professional and ethical boundaries and focuses on mental health, emotional wellbeing and personal growth. While many clients experience meaningful insight, relief and growth, outcomes vary depending on individual circumstances, engagement and time.


Counselling is a collaborative process rather than a one-time solution. Progress is discussed together, goals are revisited periodically and the pace of work is adjusted to support sustainable change.

Online Session Format

All sessions are conducted online via Google Meet, unless mutually agreed otherwise. A secure meeting link will be provided prior to the scheduled session. Clients are responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection and a private, uninterrupted space.

Video sessions are preferred, as they allow for better communication and therapeutic engagement. Audio-only sessions may be used by mutual agreement.


If technical issues arise due to client-side connectivity or environment disruptions, the session will proceed within the scheduled time and will not be extended or rescheduled. In the event of technical difficulties originating from the practitioner’s side that prevent completion of the session, the remaining time will be rescheduled at mutual convenience.

Primary communication, scheduling and payments are handled through the website and email. Other platforms may be used where appropriate, based on client preference and professional judgment. Please note that privacy policies of third-party platforms are outside the practitioner’s control.

  • Individual Counselling: 50 minutes

  • Couples Counselling: 60 minutes

  • Wellness sessions: 30 minutes

The first session focuses on understanding your concerns, context and goals. Interventions may be introduced, depending on what is clinically appropriate at that stage.
 

Clients are generally encouraged to allow at least three sessions before deciding whether to continue with any mental health professional, to allow sufficient time for mutual understanding and effective engagement.

Session Structure

Between-Session Work

At times, clients may be invited to reflective exercises, journals, practice skills or engage in structured exercises between sessions. These are offered as supportive tools to encourage insight, skill-building and independence.
 

Such work is never mandatory and is always intended to serve your process, not to create pressure or obligation.

Albatross Counselling and Wellbeing does not provide 24-hour crisis support. Our services are not suited for acute psychiatric emergencies, inpatient care or situations requiring medication management.
 

If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, please contact local emergency services or a crisis helpline in your area.

Crisis and Emergency Situations

Payments and Bookings

Sessions must be booked and paid for in advance through the website.


Appointments must be scheduled at least 24 hours prior to the intended session time.
 

Name, email and phone number are required for session communication. Address details are collected for billing and transaction processing purposes and may be used for invoicing or insurance reimbursement documentation if requested.

Sessions must be cancelled or rescheduled directly through the website at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled session time.

If a session is missed without prior notice or cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, the session fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. A new booking and payment will be required to schedule another session.

Where applicable, approved refunds are processed manually and may take 5–7 business days to reflect, depending on the payment provider.

Cancellations and Refunds

Confidentiality

Sessions are confidential and handled in accordance with professional ethical standards.

Sessions are not recorded by the practitioner.

Clients are requested not to record sessions without prior written agreement.

Corporate or group wellness sessions may be recorded only with prior written agreement and solely for internal organisational purposes, without intent to distribute or use for marketing.

Confidentiality may be ethically or legally limited in situations involving risk of harm to self or others or where disclosure is required by law.

The counselling and leadership consulting relationship is professional, respectful and structured. While care and warmth are central to the work, the practitioner cannot act as a primary social support or be available outside agreed professional boundaries.


Brief administrative communication between sessions may be permitted, but therapeutic work occurs within scheduled sessions.

These services are offered from India. Any disputes arising from the use of this website or services shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.

These Terms & Conditions may be updated periodically to reflect changes in online counselling services, corporate consulting or legal requirements. The most current version will always be available on the website.
